Vehicle Description
1970 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport 396 4-Speed with Factory A/C, Power Steering, and Power Brakes. This car was restored approximately 15 years ago and remains an outstanding example with ZERO rust. It retains its original floors, rockers, and other sheet metal.
The front suspension components have been replaced, and it features new shocks all the way around. Exhaust duties are handled by a 2.5-inch dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and brand-new mandrel-bent tailpipes. The underside is exceptionally clean and includes a new fuel tank, as well as a new windshield and rear glass.
The air conditioning blows ice cold and has been updated with a brand-new modern aluminum compressor, expansion valve, OE-style drier, and temperature cycling switch. Interior upgrades include a retro-style Bluetooth radio, two dash speakers, and two speakers mounted behind the seat.
Finished in House of Kolor Solar Gold, the paint looks absolutely amazing. Everything functions as it should—every gauge and light works properly. Additional updates include LED dash lighting, all-new gauges, and an ammeter-to-voltmeter conversion.
The 396 engine runs great and has been upgraded with a new distributor featuring a PerTronix conversion, new spark plugs, Moroso plug wires, and a brand-new Holley 750 Double Pumper carburetor. The bumpers, chrome trim, and emblems have all been replaced as well.
This El Camino drives exceptionally well and is not overly loud. It is currently missing a few components for the cowl induction system to function properly, but completing it would be a straightforward task and may be done if we keep the vehicle long enough. It rides on 8-inch-wide Rally wheels with disc brake center caps, completing the classic muscle car appearance.
This car is not only incredibly solid and visually stunning, but it is also dependable enough to be considered a daily driver. With ice-cold air conditioning and all of its amenities functioning as they should, this 1970 El Camino Super Sport is the perfect combination of classic muscle, drivability, and reliability
