COMING SOON 1978 Chevrolet Silverado K30 Squarebody 4x4 Truck. This truck has an extremely solid chassis and undercarriage that has been repainted, although it appears that it was done many years ago. Four-wheel drive, big-block engine, factory air conditioning, new 33-inch Interco tires with old-school Slot Mag wheels, long-length heavy-duty mounted side steps, bed cover, dual exhaust, custom rear bumper, racetrack trim, grab handles, towing mirrors, upgraded stereo, and overload front and rear springs giving it a slight amount of lift and making it a very driver-friendly truck. We’ve gone over this truck very well, and it actually checks out excellent. Service and inspection are complete. It has a Dana 60 front end with upgraded Super Winch hubs. The tires are brand new, the four-wheel drive works perfectly, and it has a proper rear tow hitch receiver, along with a sliding-glass back window. We have gotten to a stopping point, and here’s where we’re at: The only gauge not working at the moment is the fuel gauge, which does not appear to be a major repair. The air-conditioning compressor and line set have also been removed, so it would need a new compressor and line set to make the factory system work, or you could install a completely updated system from Vintage Air or Classic Auto Air. At the point where we’re at, we could go in many different directions. Of course, a lift kit, tires, wheels, and additional upgrades would be no problem. The truck is very deserving of whichever direction somebody wanted to take it cosmetically. It does appear to be a very solid truck. The trim is held on with multiple additional fasteners, but it is all there. This truck is definitely caught somewhere between a survivor, a restoration project, and the question of how much further somebody wants to take it—or simply enjoying it as a fun, reasonably priced toy.
