Chevrolet Silverado K20 Square Body Lifted 4x4 pickup. Sheweee… if you don’t read through this one, you’ll never understand it. This Camper Special truck was known by most of our followers as “The Experiment.” The original purchaser from us bought this truck knowing he had a $100,000 budget, but he didn’t really know what he wanted. He started off with this truck as a learning experience and an experiment to see how much he would truly like a Square Body before jumping in with both feet. To say he loved it would be an understatement. He actually purchased a second Square Body while still owning and loving this truck because it was dependable, carried his family comfortably, towed with ease, and brought back all the old-school characteristics and nostalgia these trucks are known for. Along with the classic “smell” that some of these trucks have and some don’t, this one definitely does, and it’s pretty amazing when you pop the door open.

Above all of that, the really cool part is the extremely unorthodox and rare order combination of this truck, possibly making it a one-of-one configuration when ordered: deluxe exterior two-tone Gold over Light Camel with the 25D Blue interior color combination, all decoded factory correct on the SPID sheet. The air conditioning has been retrofitted and is functional. Bluetooth stereo installed, both fuel tanks work, all gauges currently function properly, and the power windows and power door locks work as they should. It also has a tight tilt steering column that isn’t slammed and worn out like most.

Now for the fun part: this truck has a brand-new 8-inch lift kit system, Fox shocks, upgraded steering and track bar system, braided brake hoses, 38-inch Super Swamper Bogger tires, and Mickey Thompson Canyon 12-wide wheels. It also features vent visors, a toolbox, spray-in bedliner with additional tie-downs in the bed, full rear leaf springs, and — did we mention — it’s also a Camper Special truck with an extremely clean undercarriage and frame. Proper-length driveshafts are installed, including a full replacement front shaft, along with replacement shackles and bushings.

This truck rides, drives, and looks the part. From what we can tell, it is wearing pretty much all original paint and trim. It definitely has its share of rock rash, scratches, nicks, and dings from age, but it carries the proper character and honest patina in all the right spots.
